There are quite a few things better than DmC. What's sad about it is that, with proper direction under better developers and as it's own IP, it would have been decent. Yes, it would probably be still called a DMC knock off, much like how Dante's Inferno was a God of War knock off, but it still would have been seen as a separate game and wouldn't have been compared so harshly to an already established series. Reboot or not, as a DMC game, it had a standard to reach for. A template for what to do, and would could be improved. They took that template... and tossed it out the window, instead looking at Heavenly Sword and adding jumping mechanics...

It's just... sad.
